Santo Domingo. - President Luis Abinader headed this Tuesday the presentation of the tourism expansion strategy supported by Country Brand that the Dominican Republic will deploy in the next edition of the International Tourism Fair FITUR 2022, in which the country will participate as a guest partner.<\/p>\n

Accompanied by the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, the president said that this step the country is taking is a sign of commitment to important allies, such as IFEMA and all those who visit the fair in search of opportunities.<\/p>\n

\u201cStarting 2022 by validating the country's commitment to the industry will be a firm step at the beginning of the year, and of the total recovery of tourism. We do not miss any opportunity that is offered to us and we work day by day with the purpose of placing our country as one of the best tourist destinations in the world \u201d, assured Abinader.<\/p>\n

This participation has a prominent role and strategic visibility for the promotion to the world of the great tourist attractions of the Dominican Republic in the most important tourist fair in the world.<\/p>\n

The figure of FITUR Partner, implemented in 2016, establishes a broad field of joint action in the most significant areas of promotion and communication of this great event of the tourism industry that will be held from January 19 to 23, 2022, organized by IFEMA MADRID , in the fairgrounds of the Spanish capital.<\/p>\n

The collaboration of the partner country also contributes to creating a close link with the sum of the brand "Dominican Republic, Has Everything" and FITUR, which will allow the Caribbean destination, with a long and consolidated participation in the fair, to take advantage of and make the event's magnificent promotional potential even more profitable for the world.<\/p>\n

In addition, the country will be part of the great display that for a week and under the symbolic slogan "We embrace the world" will be screened internationally from the city of Madrid, on the occasion of the celebration of FITUR.<\/p>\n

President Abinader also stressed that this participation reaffirms the commitment that this government has assumed to relaunch Dominican tourism to achieve the highest occupancy rates, attract new investments and continue to improve the quality of the offer that the Dominican Republic offers to the world. .<\/p>\n

For his part, the Minister of Tourism stressed that participating as a partner of FITUR in January will mean starting the year with the full accelerator to achieve the full recovery of Dominican tourism and make 2022 the year with the highest arrival of tourists to the country .<\/p>\n

"We are committed to being a partner in FITUR in 2020, in the midst of a difficult situation, when no one was thinking about that, which has put our country in an enviable position and we are sure it will be a successful bet", highlighted Minister Collado .<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the general manager of IFEMA Madrid, Eduardo L\u00f3pez Puertas, stated that it is a privilege and the country's organizational capacity continues to surprise, for which he thanked the honor of being partners in the most important fair.<\/p>\n

He also said that in this momentous edition he could not have a better ally, a more relevant FITUR partner than the Dominican Republic, a country capable of representing the determination to excel.<\/p>\n

He affirmed that the Dominican Republic is a world reference for the expected recovery of tourism.<\/p>\n
